The Tree Residential House

The Tree

This house is a prototype for a residential complex aimed to accommodate young families. It is designed to symbolize the tree. A tree that grows and continues to spread its roots down the earth and its branches up in the air. It's the symbol of a family. It's obvious that this house structure is growing the same as the tree structure. The stem of the tree is the core of the house which in this case is the stairs. The stairs that shape its journey. A journey from the bottom the entrance level to the top the roof garden. With all spaces cantilevered out of the core.

At the entryway, the L-shaped flow features marble flooring that ties with wood-vein walls. Paired with an impressionist painting as a visual statement, they compose a compact, smart entryway that resembles an art gallery.

Anchor and Sail Residential House

Anchor and Sail

Anchor and Sail is a residential interior design of 230 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Ocean and cruise ship motifs guide the layout, materials, fixtures and color scheme. Hikari Tsuzuraori Residential House

Hikari Tsuzuraori

Hikari Tsuzuraori is a two storey vacation house located in Kamakura, Japan, near Hasedera Temple. The site is a flag lot surrounded by close neighboring houses, so natural light was limited. The structural core is divided into four parts, placed unevenly to form small gardens and to draw daylight inside. The staggered cores and the alternately folded roof slope create an opening at the top, admitting sunlight by day and offering a view of the stars at night. The lower floor is a quiet Japanese space for meditation, while the upper floor is open and bright for family life.

Gilbam Residential House

Gilbam

Villa Gilbam is a residential house located on a mountain slope in the Siahkal region of northern Iran. The site covers about 750 square meters and falls about 10 percent from east to west. Two cantilevered volumes extend from the core at ground and first floor levels without touching the ground. The three volumes are angled to form a shared central space with views of the surrounding mountains.
