Sunny Poem
Sunny Poem is an interior design for a duplex apartment of 272 square meters in Taichung City. The original staircase divides the layout into a front area and a rear area. The front area holds a tall living room, a dining room and a kitchen, arranged for receiving guests. Mirrors in the public area widen the visual field. A black linear staircase leads to a relaxed parlor with sofas and a home theater. Solid wood grills conceal the bedroom doors to protect privacy. The master bedroom includes an open dressing room with a sliding door.
Sunny Poem Residential Apartment by Ting-Yan Chen has been selected as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Sunny Poem Residential Apartment earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
