Wanda City
Lanzhou Wanda City is an exhibition center in Lanzhou, China. The interior covers 3000 square meters and includes a reception hall and a sales area. The design draws on the local Danxia landform and on the silk and brocade traditions of the city. Smooth curves, layered geometric forms and refined materials create a calm and elegant atmosphere. A champagne gold railing on the second floor is set against a large white background. Stepped walls extend into the canopy above the sand table, and lighting lines run along both sides of the escalator.
Wanda City Exhibition Center by Liliang Shan was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wanda City Exhibition Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
