Yuntu
Yuntu is a banquet restaurant designed for large events such as weddings and celebrations in Shaoxing, China. The interior covers 1400 square meters with a floor height of 8 meters. The space is divided into three parts: a 60 meter long corridor enclosed by glass, a black and white hall with a cloud shaped partition, and a bright banquet hall. Painting techniques of the Song Dynasty guide the forms of the moon, clouds, mountains, water and flowers. Azure is the main color, combined with black and white, for a calm and ethereal atmosphere.
Yuntu Banquet Restaurant by Shang Cai was recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yuntu Banquet Restaurant received the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
