Yujintai
Yujintai is a private club interior located in Beijing. The project covers 350 square meters and was completed in 2018. The design applies the aesthetics of the Song and Ming periods to a modern space. The floor is made of dark-grained marble with mountain and river patterns. The ceiling uses a dark gray mirror finish that suggests still water and gentle ripples. Hollow-out frames divide the rooms and create a calm rhythm. A landscape planting area answers the lack of greenery in modern buildings and supports a quiet mood.
Yujintai Club by Jidong Cao has been featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yujintai Club received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
