Wuxing Youxing
Wuxing Youxing is an office interior created for a design studio in Hangzhou. The project covers 680 square meters inside a former textile machinery factory in a creative industry park. Hollow openings link three floors into one large space, and a central staircase joins the separate areas. A suspended meeting room and a sunken book bar sit on staggered levels. Large areas of clear glass widen the view and bring light into the narrow plan. Sliding partition doors open or hide the work area as needed. A movable skylight on the top floor draws daylight indoors.
Wuxing Youxing Design Office by Zhixue Wei has been selected as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Wuxing Youxing Design Office was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
