Actualization of Free Life Residential Apartment

Li Min Chen Residential Apartment Interior

Actualization of Free Life

Actualization of Free Life is a residential interior design for a 238 square meter apartment in Taichung, Taiwan. The L-shaped layout differs from common house plans. Two circulation routes start at the entryway. One route leads to the living room, and the other leads to the bedrooms, the dining room and the kitchen. The bathroom was relocated to separate the public and private areas. A mirror in the living room reflects an outdoor view. Stone, a titanium-plated door frame, wood veneers, lacquer and steel form the finishes.

Actualization of Free Life Residential Apartment by Li Min Chen has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Actualization of Free Life Residential Apartment earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
