Whyte Woolf
Whyte Woolf is a fitness club interior located in Dalian. The project covers 1700 square meters inside a building with church form architecture. The original ceiling was fully preserved and then painted with murals that use anatomy as their subject, replacing traditional mythological scenes with a modern visual language. Terrazzo, steel plate, aluminium alloy and hollow sheet are the main materials. The intent is to keep the spirit of the traditional form while creating a clearly different interior experience.
Whyte Woolf Fitness Club by Arthur Yang was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Whyte Woolf Fitness Club earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
