Yuexiang Lake
Yuexiang Lake is an exhibition center located in Yuhong District, Shenyang. The building follows a new Chinese style that draws on traditional courtyard culture. The garden is divided into four courtyards arranged along two axes, north and south, so each area offers a different atmosphere. The entrance gate is 9 meters high and 32 meters wide and is made of Portuguese Beige stone. A cantilevered canopy 32 meters long guides movement into the site. A sunken club with a height of 6.6 meters adds spatial depth within a limited area.
Yuexiang Lake Exhibition Center by Tengyuan Design has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Yuexiang Lake Exhibition Center was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
