Mansions Design Inn
Mansions Design Inn is a hotel interior located on a commercial street in Chongqing, China. The project covers 800 square meters and uses the high ceiling of the original loft space to divide each room into two levels. The lower level serves as the public area, with a living room, a bathroom and storage. The upper level is the sleeping area, with a device for hanging clothes and hats and a second bathroom where space allows. Staircases act as the visual center of each room. Steel, dark red art paint, carpets and varied lighting express a modern factory theme.
Mansions Design Inn Hotel by Chao Wen has been featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mansions Design Inn Hotel won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
