Boundary
Boundary is a residential interior design created by merging two superimposed villas into one complete home. Removing the original movable wall allowed functional areas to be combined and a new spatial order to be formed. A load-bearing column is covered with ceramic tiles and white latex paint, keeping the lines clean and simple. White and blue recall clouds and the sea. A thin black frame sliding door with clear glass lets the kitchen switch between open and closed. A spiral staircase leads to the private bedrooms on the upper floor.
Boundary Residential House by Guangzheng Li has been identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Boundary Residential House was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
