Solo
Solo is a residential interior design for an apartment of 298 square metres. The long and narrow floor plan is divided symmetrically around a central space, forming 13 areas that include the public space, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and second bedroom. A foyer enclosed by clear grey glass keeps its independence while remaining visually transparent, and links the public area with the master bedroom. A white piano stands at the centre and separates the living room from the dining room. Natural wood veneers and iron grilles decorate the master bedroom.
Solo Residential Apartment by Syuan-Ta Chiu was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Solo Residential Apartment won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
