Read Life
Read Life is a shared cultural space designed for public reading. The project covers 815 square meters on two floors. The first floor holds the main reading area, a bread shop, a small supermarket and a cafe. Floor-to-ceiling display cabinets near the entrance carry plants, which add indoor greenery and help purify the air. Tall book walls define the character of the reading area. The second floor surrounds the open central space and contains an art gallery and a children's play area. The design connects books and people and supports the exchange of knowledge.
Read Life Cultural Space by Tina Sheng has been featured as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Read Life Cultural Space was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
