Simple Training
Simple Training is a fitness center interior located in Shanghai. The design returns to the origin of fitness, with a single focus on exercise in a calm, home-like setting. White walls and timber work are combined with soft natural light from large windows. A square layout places the functional areas around the main spaces, so circulation is direct and odd corners are reduced. Storage is consolidated vertically. Specialty flooring in the instruction room withstands heavy impact and lowers impact noise. Space is also reserved for yoga classes.
Simple Training Gym by Carlie Ling - K.D Hsu has been recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Simple Training Gym was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
