Fluid and Form
Fluid and Form is a residential interior design for a single-level ground floor home in Taipei City, Taiwan. The layout opens toward a garden view and natural light. Fluidity is the main theme, expressed through a flowing timber grille ceiling that links the public spaces. Dyed solid timber posts, natural masonry tiles and mineral paints are used. A large sliding door separates public and private areas while keeping visual continuity. Circulation is planned for wheelchair users, and a green corridor divides the master bedroom from the children bedrooms.
Fluid and Form Residence by ACG Design International was identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Fluid and Form Residence earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
