Black and White Narrative
Black and White Narrative is the interior design of a stand-alone three-floor house in Taiwan. The layout holds a reception area, a tea-tasting room, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, two bedrooms and four bathrooms. Spanish marble slim planks are arranged so that the veining extends visually and each plank is perceived differently. Spanish ceramic doors close the storage volumes. An open plan brings daylight and natural ventilation into the shared rooms. Large windows are fitted with electrically powered curtains.
Black and White Narrative Residence by MING HUNG CHUANG has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Black and White Narrative Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
