White Box
White Box is a clothing store interior located in Rui'an, Wenzhou. The store occupies an area of about 35 square meters. The front door is small, and the traditional display window is replaced by a long horizontal window with a wide white surface below. White is applied across the simple box-like structure, and light beams are arranged to highlight the white terrazzo floor. A small loft was added to increase the usable area and to keep the plan well organized. Oak stairs, footlights and light strips connect the two levels.
White Box Clothing Store by Xiaoying Huang has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. White Box Clothing Store received the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
