Beijing Club
Beijing Club is a private clubhouse located in Beijing, covering 400 square meters including a central courtyard. The interior is set within a traditional Chinese building, and the design lets the old and the new coexist. Following the concept of Shade Rouge, the original structure was kept and combined with modern elements, while lighting emphasizes the red color and extends it through the space. Metal strips and separating seams mark the joints between the existing and the newly built parts. The courtyard connects all rooms and brings seasonal change inside.
Beijing Club Clubhouse by Isabelle Zhao Peng was recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Beijing Club Clubhouse received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
