Shimao City
Shimao City is a residential interior design for a home shared by a young man and his elder sister. The interior creates a warm and refined atmosphere, inspired by contemporary art installations. Large areas of stone, slate and wood veneer form a contrast between hard and soft surfaces. Small areas of steel, metal and glass add detail. A one centimeter metal strip is embedded in the door frames, and a two centimeter recessed metal skirting line follows the walls. The project was designed in 2019 and is located in Fuzhou, China.
Shimao City Living Space by Zhenxiang Wu has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Shimao City Living Space won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
