Breaking Dawn
Breaking Dawn is a residential interior design covering about 128 square meters in Taichung City, Taiwan. The home includes an open kitchen and dining room, a living room, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. As the house has no main walls, the boundaries between areas are blurred, and a shared aisle with gentle turns defines each space. The dark tone near the entrance and dining area shifts to white in the living room, recalling the first light of dawn. Materials include white stone, titanium-plated metal, gray-black veneer, glass block and wallpaper.
Breaking Dawn Residence by Jumu Chiang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Breaking Dawn Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
