Tibetan Eagle Road Trip and RV Campsite

Tibetan Eagle

Tibetan Eagle is a campsite designed for self-drive travelers beside Ranwu Lake in Tibet. The site lies between National Highway G318 to the north and the lake to the south. The main building of the integrated service center extends about 80 meters along the highway and is raised about 8 meters, so the buildings do not block each other. A glass wall faces the lake. The buildings use white cement-fiber plates, red weather-resisting steel plates, thick transparent glass, dark gray steel, local wood and local pebbles. Assembled steel structures limit the impact on the natural surroundings.

Tibetan Eagle Road Trip and RV Campsite by Archermit was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Tibetan Eagle Road Trip and RV Campsite received the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
