Xor Creative Research
XOR Creative Research is an office interior set in a Taiwanese terraced house built in 1972 in Taichung city. The renovation joins the past with the present era. The facade is clad with white lattice windows, while the interior is modern with cultural references. A spiral staircase based on the golden ratio stands against deep blue backdrops. The original Taiwanese tile flooring is largely preserved and combined with mosaic tiles, wood parquet and local marble in a herringbone array. Folding doors separate the open meeting area and the swatch library.
Xor Creative Research Interior Design by Hsin Ting Weng has been recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Xor Creative Research Interior Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
