LA5 X House of Suntory
House of Suntory is an experiential retail pop-up located at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. The pop-up was created in partnership with Qatar Duty Free to present Japanese artistry and tradition to travelers. The exterior takes inspiration from Machiya style wood lattices, reinterpreted in a contemporary form as a reference to the first shop of the company in Japan. Ikebana displays and storytelling elements create a calm moment within the airport. The design joins modern form with cultural heritage.
LA5 X House of Suntory Retail Pop Up by L'Atelier Five was identified as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. LA5 X House of Suntory Retail Pop Up won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
