Tranquil Realm
Tranquil Realm is a residential interior design for an apartment of approximately 116 square meters in Taipei City. The home holds three bedrooms, two living areas and two bathrooms. A dark toned palette is combined with deep brown wood, stone and textured finishes. The living and dining areas are joined into one shared zone through a revised circulation plan. Curved ceilings and softened edges reduce visible spatial boundaries. A fluted glass screen divides the entryway while keeping visual transparency. The design offers a calm retreat from the noise of the city.
Tranquil Realm Residential House by Ian Tan has been featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Tranquil Realm Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
