The Sear
The Sear is a fast casual restaurant interior in Amman, Jordan, covering about 60 square meters. The design is inspired by the searing process used in cooking. Stainless steel cladding and ceramic tiles were selected for durability, heat resistance and hygiene. Custom light signage and digital screens are integrated as architectural elements and guide ordering and movement. The open plan layout keeps the kitchen visible from the dining area. Modular components allow efficient installation, maintenance and future replication.
The Sear Fast Casual Restaurant by Sana Radwan has been featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Sear Fast Casual Restaurant was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
