Nago Agri Park
Nago Agri Park is a cafe interior created within a support facility for agricultural products in Nago, Okinawa, Japan. The renovation follows the concept of Farm and Craft, offering a space where diverse visitors can experience agriculture firsthand. Hemp rope was wrapped around the existing columns, and burlap fabric was draped over the ceiling frames as both decoration and sunshade. Local artisans applied a traditional plaster finish using regional soil. Edible plants and drinks made with local produce link visitors with food and nature.
Nago Agri Park Foodscape Cafe by Koichi Tomiyama was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Nago Agri Park Foodscape Cafe was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
