Confluence of Initial Intentions

Confluence of Initial Intentions is a residential interior design for a home of 130 square meters. A sliding door is placed between the study partition and the sofa back wall, so the area can serve as an open study or as a hidden guest room, with a storage lift bed built into the display bookcase. A retractable dining table can be adjusted in size and stored away when not in use. Light strips on the curved ceiling soften the beams and add a sense of flowing light. Mottled blue and gold paint marks the hallway junction between the public and private areas.

Confluence of Initial Intentions Residential House by Chung Yi Chun has been identified as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Confluence of Initial Intentions Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
