Zhumadian
Zhumadian is a hotel interior design located in Zhoukou, China. The lobby reflects the essence of traditional architecture and combines a rational sense of space with a restrained aesthetic. The restaurant is themed around ink landscape paintings, with ink elements applied to walls and cabinets in black, white, and gray tones. The display cabinet area follows a natural and minimalist style that combines marble and wood. In the pool area, natural stone meets clear water beneath a dark wooden Chinese mortise and tenon ceiling. The project covers 4000 square meters.
Zhumadian Hotel Design by Guo Xiangyu was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Zhumadian Hotel Design won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
