Maru Maru Lash
Maru Maru Lash is an eyelash beauty salon in Taipei, Taiwan, covering an area of 78 square meters. The original space was narrow and irregular, only 3.3 meters wide, and received no natural light from neighboring buildings. Curved lines shaped like eyelashes flow through the interior and echo the brand logo. Glass bricks at the entrance let daylight enter while privacy is kept. Curtains made of corn fiber divide the rooms and cast soft shadows. Mineral paint absorbs air pollutants. Each treatment room is independent, so care is given without disturbance.
Maru Maru Lash Eyelash Beauty Salon by Chi Hong Chiang has been selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Maru Maru Lash Eyelash Beauty Salon was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
