Mountain Impression
Mountain Impression is a residential interior design for a five-story single-family house in Taiwan. The house has a total area of 257.8 square meters and includes four bedrooms, a living room and a dining room. Curves on the walls and ceilings soften sharp angles and guide movement between the areas. The public area uses light gray tones with rough mineral paint, while the private area uses warm wood tones. Irregularly curved cabinets provide storage and integrate a cat tree and a cat aisle. Sliding doors mark the boundaries and save space.
Mountain Impression Residence by Sung-Shu Chan was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mountain Impression Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
