Reconstruct Boundary
Reconstruct Boundary is a residential interior design for a family of four in Taiwan. The project is the renovation of a ten-year-old apartment with a total area of 495.8 square meters. Unnecessary partitions were removed to blur the boundaries between the areas. A custom suspended ironwork shelf connects the living room and the dining room. Dark tones mark the social area, while lighter tones define the private area. The former enclosed room beside the kitchen was opened as a study room and social hall. A sliding glass door keeps children in view.
Reconstruct Boundary Residence by YI-RONG WEN was featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Reconstruct Boundary Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
