Rounded Shadow
Rounded Shadow is the interior design of a four-story single-family house in Taiwan. The house covers 393.3 square meters and contains five rooms. The first and fourth floors are public areas, with a living room, a dining room, a Japanese-style room and an audio-visual room. The second and third floors are private areas. An open plan and large floor-to-ceiling windows bring the surrounding greenery into each area. Wood grilles, stone, marble and metal join Eastern and Western design ideas. Wooden cabinets in the foyer conceal storage.
Rounded Shadow Residence by USM INNOVATION INTEGRATED DESIGN has been identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Rounded Shadow Residence was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
