Secret Land
Secret Land is a private reception house in Taiwan, designed as a place for the owner to meet friends, watch ball games and taste wine. The plan is fully open, with the kitchen, living room and dining room set in equal proportions to form a triangular circulation path. Sight lines meet across the three areas, so conversation stays easy from any point. Cast iron is used for the screen, display shelf and display cabinet, and its natural rust gives a raw appearance. A warm wood dining table and an olive green sofa balance the cool gray tones.
Secret Land Private Reception House by Li Tien Wen was featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Secret Land Private Reception House received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
