Ying Photography
Ying Photography is a photography studio interior in Hangzhou, China. Light and shadow guide the arrangement of the space elements. Complicated decorations are avoided, and geometric blocks with orderly lines outline a simple beauty. The entrance adopts a large curved facade, where a white wall and a concrete floor create a calm and balanced appeal. Micro-cement and thick materials with grainy surfaces give the interior texture. Coiled stairs add a sense of flow. Shooting and interactive functions are combined to form an immersive venue.
Ying Photography Studio by Zhaoying Wu was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Ying Photography Studio won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
