Dome
Dome is a restaurant and bar interior located in a two-story building in Beijing. The design aims to feel natural and comfortable. Part of the second floor is opened to connect the two levels. A transparent light film is applied to the ceiling to suggest the scene of a sunrise. A mixed color lighting system supports the effect of early morning light. All corners are curved to create a surrounding atmosphere. Light golden artistic paint gives a relaxed feeling. The name Dome refers to the open sky, which has no boundary and no fixed shape.
Dome Restaurant and Bar by Hongbo Wung was highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Dome Restaurant and Bar received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
