Admonter Floor
Admonter Floor is an exhibition hall for wood flooring, located on the third floor of a building materials mall in Shantou. The space covers 120 square meters. Oblique angles drawn between the walls conceal the original columns and divide the large hall into smaller areas. The reception area combines original wood boards in various hues with modern cement walls, so warm wood contrasts with cold cement. A natural light film over the light sources restores the original color of the floors. Sample lamps on the display wall guide visitors along the route.
Admonter Floor Exhibition Hall by Weipeng Zheng has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Admonter Floor Exhibition Hall was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
