For Two
For Two is a residential interior design created for two people in Taiwan. The plan removes the traditional living room and the enclosed partitions. The dressing room and the kitchen island act as two centers, and the layout follows two concentric circles that form a circular route between the kitchen, the audio-visual room, the study and the master bedroom. Glass partitions and floor-to-ceiling windows draw light inside and frame the greenery outside. Sliding doors keep privacy, and track lighting under the beams reduces the visual weight of the structure.
For Two Residence by Shiu-Ming Chen has been featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. For Two Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
