Ideareve Ikegami
Ideareve Ikegami is a music hall and mixed-use building in Ikegami, Ota-ku, Tokyo, Japan. The four-story reinforced concrete structure is ten meters high. The building contains a music hall with an auditorium, practice rooms, soundproofed rental residences and a penthouse. A vestibule and foyer form a circulation zone linking the interior and the exterior. Three brass-colored stainless steel diagonal walls shape the foyer, and acoustic reflectors line the hall. The geometric volume recalls the hilly landscape at the foot of the Ikegami Honmonji temple.
Ideareve Ikegami Music Hall by Ryuichi Sasaki has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Ideareve Ikegami Music Hall earned the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
