La Pina Distillery
La Pina Distillery is a retail and tasting facility located in Nago, Okinawa. The interior is themed around exploration and the search for the water of life. At the center stands the Brandy Pineapple Fountain, an object measuring 4400 millimeters in width, depth and height, shaped like a distiller from which pineapple brandy appears to rise from underground. Piping-style displays, lighting and an aged copper finish recall a large old factory. Wall fixtures in iron sheeting combine with wood grain to form a calm space that adult visitors can also enjoy.
La Pina Distillery Amusement Shop by Shinjiro Heshiki was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. La Pina Distillery Amusement Shop earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
