Mountain Sea Wind
Windy Pavilion is a viewing hall set on a site surrounded by mountains and facing a lake. The single-storey building covers 540 square metres and stands 4 metres high. A concrete shell forms the curved roof and walls, with a thickness of 200 millimetres that increases to 500 millimetres in some areas. Three tree-shaped steel columns support the widest overhangs. The pavilion contains a snack bar, a beverage table, a bathroom and rest steps. The design explores the softness of concrete and frames selected views of the surrounding landscape.
Mountain Sea Wind Hall by Zhubo Design was selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
