Absolut Lab
Absolut Lab is a pop-up store and exhibition space in Shanghai, China. The interior was created from modular components, which allow the space to be dismantled, recycled and reused. Design inspiration was drawn from the Mobius Strip. The entrance features a curved corridor made of polycarbonate sheets and mirrored materials, forming a fluid circulation route. A mirrored ceiling reduces the sense of narrowness. Recyclable kraft paper, stainless steel and polycarbonate sheets are the main materials. All modules were prefabricated, and on-site construction was completed in 60 hours.
Absolut Lab Gallery and Retail by Moneys Studio was featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Absolut Lab Gallery and Retail received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
