Songpingshan
Songpingshan is a fire station in Shenzhen, China. The Grade-1 station has a plot area of 3,660.1 square meters and a gross floor area of 5,791.64 square meters, and it holds seven fire trucks. An inner courtyard layout reduces the noise from the avenue on the north side. The fire garage, entrance hall, canteen and communication room are placed on the first floor. Duty preparation rooms, operation rooms and auxiliary rooms occupy the upper floors. Visitor routes pass along a mezzanine corridor, so daily training and duty routes are not disturbed.
Songpingshan Fire Station by SUIADR has been highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Songpingshan Fire Station was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
