Gin
Gin is a bar interior of 200 square meters located in Xi'an, China. The design is inspired by the masonry, ceramic components and arch structures of Etruscan architecture. Handmade coarse ceramic brick walls are combined with textured stucco coating and granite surfaces. Stone columns are joined to the streamlined central bar counter, which supports the structure and fills the open space. Candles and ceiling spotlights provide soft lighting. Art Deco lines and symmetrical geometry recall an ancient era.
Gin Bar by Yixi Liu has been highlighted as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Gin Bar received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
