Il Pausa House
Il Pausa House is a private residence built in Jakarta, Indonesia. The design uses a parametric system to define both the geometry and the structure. Sculptural interventions on the facade create tension between contrasting elements, while the interior offers fluid transitions between spaces in horizontal and vertical directions. The size and position of the facade openings follow a detailed solar study, view axes and occupant height, so natural light is spread evenly inside. The entrance is set above street level and welcomes visitors on arrival.
Il Pausa House Private Home by Revano Satria has been recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Il Pausa House Private Home was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which rewards superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
