Beiguan Li
Beiguan Li is a small urban cultural and commercial community built in Qiqihar, China. The site covers 10,000 square meters and lies near Bukui North Street and the nearby lake. Several single buildings are overlapped and merged into one mixed, open and permeable group. The layout forms many relatively independent spaces that flow into one another, so visitors can pause and take part in local activities. A lake terrace park, an outer square and multi-level inner courtyards are included. The color tone is a simple cold gray, and daylight brightens the spaces.
Beiguan Li Business Community by Tianying Li has been featured as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Beiguan Li Business Community earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
