Flow
Flow is a bar interior located in Shengyang, China. The space measures 180 square meters and has a long and narrow structure. An intentionally slanted wall separates the interior from the street. A deep industrial ink color covers every surface, creating a quiet atmosphere. A line of narrow windows reconnects the inside with the outside. A large artwork of rounded water drops is set on the ceiling in a vertical and horizontal order. Hidden light sources are embedded in the ceiling and walls. The hexagonal bar counter is cut like a diamond. Cement, metal, glass and wood are used.
Flow Bar by Bo Zhou was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flow Bar won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
