Growing Artistic
Growing Artistic is the interior design of a six-floor villa for a family of three generations. The original building held two separate homes stacked together, so the second floor was opened to form a single household. Old solid wood boards give the rooms a rustic and quiet character, while art paint adds texture and calm color to each area. The public space was expanded with new functional zones and void zones, adding vertical connection to horizontal connection. Geometric blocks, simple tones and natural light shape a restful atmosphere.
Growing Artistic Villa by Pangang Li was highlighted as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Growing Artistic Villa earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
