Champion Wine Cave

Champion

Champion is a wine cellar and tasting venue in Taichung city, Taiwan, with a construction area of 148 square meters. The ground floor holds wine storage for 1000 bottles, a bar station and work spaces. The upper floor is used for tasting and selling whisky, and the bar station sits at the centre of the layout to serve every customer at a moderate distance. Fire bricks cover the temperature and humidity controlled storage unit as insulation. Brick, brass, glass, stainless steel and textured paint are combined, and a continuous arc links the logo, the bar front and other details.

Champion Wine Cave by Hsin Ting Weng has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Champion Wine Cave received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
