Nero
Nero is a residential interior design for an apartment in Chisinau, Moldova. The renovation joins two smaller apartments into one home of 260 square meters. The plan is divided into a parents area and a child area, which can be reached separately from the main entrance hall. Plasterboard was removed to expose the ceiling structure and to raise the height of the living area. Existing columns are hidden inside furniture and built structures. Walls are painted, with accent walls in ceramic or bronze metallic tiles. Ceilings and floors are finished in wood.
Nero Apartment by Alexandru Zingaliuc has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Nero Apartment won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
