The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is an example of the transformation of a typical rural homestead into a residential mansion. In the place of five existing farm buildings scheduled for demolition, the project team proposed five contemporary farm buildings. The newly designed forms have a shape, which results from the reference to the existing farm layout, terrain, view axes, functional needs, division into residential zones and location of trees.
The Farmhouse Residential Architecture by Boguslaw Barnas has been identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Farmhouse Residential Architecture received the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
